How data is sourced, checked and removed

This page describes what the product does today. Where something is not built, it says so.

Where each field comes from

When Motion builds a list with Find, it uses web search to find company websites and then reads each website itself. Company fields such as the name, phone, city, state and the software in use are read from that website. Each of those fields carries the page it was read from and the time it was read, and the list links to the page.

Contact details that come from a contact provider are different. They are labeled with the provider that returned them and the time. They have no page link.

In the enrichment table, a filled cell shows a confidence figure and, when one was returned, the source of the value. When the product writes a personalized line for a draft, it stores the facts that line used, with the page each fact came from.

What is read, and what is not used

In Find, a search result is used only to find a company website. Its title, snippet and position are not stored. A map listing, a review site or a directory is not read as a company website.

The research behind a draft is a read of the company home page: its title, its description and its main headline. Motion does not build your lists from state license records or company registry filings today.

Website content can be out of date or wrong at the source. Check a value you rely on by opening the page it came from.

Checks before email sends

A campaign cannot launch without a sender postal address, and the product adds that address and an unsubscribe link to the footer of every step. A launch is refused when the unsubscribe link is not set up.

Suppressed addresses are removed when contacts are enrolled and checked again before the campaign starts. If the suppression list cannot be read, nothing is sent. The acceptable use page lists the limits and checks, and the privacy page explains how an unsubscribe is handled.

These checks help you send responsibly. They are not legal advice, and passing them does not mean a campaign is lawful where you or your recipients are.

Calls

Calling is not switched on. No call can be placed from Motion today, and the product runs no do-not-call check. This section will describe how call checks work when calling is available.

Takedown and opt-out

To stop email from a sender who used Motion, use the unsubscribe link in the message. It applies to that sender.

SuperScraper, which operates Motion, also keeps business records that can include the people behind a business. To ask for a person to be removed from those records, or for a business to be marked do not contact, email privacy@superscraper.dev. A member of our team handles the request. A removed record is marked so that reads of those records leave it out, and it is scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later.

Privacy and terms

We process company website content, and the contact data you import or look up, to build lists and run outreach on your behalf. You remain responsible for your use of the data and for your own outreach under applicable law. We are not a legal advisor. The draft privacy, terms and acceptable use pages have the detail. For questions about data handling or terms, contact support@superscraper.dev.
